This Tuesday 2nd September was the official unveiling of our Aboriginal Mural – The Journey. We were joined by our Aboriginal students, our student leaders, families, David Beckett (School Council President) and Mr Stuart Edwards (Department of Education). Uncle Josh and his son joined us from the Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Corporation; Uncle Josh provided our Welcome to Country, and educated us about Country whilst conducting a smoking ceremony to acknowledge this significant event.

I am always impressed by what our students can do, and this time, it was our Aboriginal students Jack, Ewan, Leo and Sam, and our student leaders Zed, AJ and Vincent who created the opportunity for the Mordialloc College community to learn from their work, not just now, but for generations to come; I really do thank our students for their wonderful art.
