At Mordialloc College, we are focused on excellence, innovation and high expectations in everything we do.

We want every student to achieve their highest potential. And we believe that it is important that every student demonstrates a sense of pride in their academic work.

Our program of support, guidance and recognition for achievement is a hallmark of the College. This, combined with access to modern study and research facilities, underpins an expectation that every student aims for his or her personal best in everything they do and demonstrates self-respect and pride in their work.

Each student is responsible for completing every task on time and to the best of his or her ability to enable teachers to assess their learning progress.

A proactive work submission program involving parent contact is articulated in our Work submission policy and the Homework Policy offers parents and students a recommended home study program.

Year level coordinators can also provide assistance and facilitate additional support if required. A voluntary homework club is held after school every Tuesday and Thursday in the Enquiry Zone for Middle School (Year 7-9) students. There are teachers with expertise in English/Humanities and Maths/Science available each session to assist students with their schoolwork.

The College employs tutors who recently finished VCE and gained exceptional ATAR scores to work with Year 12 students two afternoons per week. These tutors are able to help with specific subjects and also to give our senior students an understanding of what tertiary life is like.
